The Seven Impossible Moves are a collection of difficult kung fu techniques; it is presumed they are thought "impossible" to do, hence its name. There were originally seven,[1] but Fenghuang had since that time discovered five additional moves, bringing the total to twelve, hence their new name: the Twelve Impossible Moves.[2]

Only two had their proper names mentioned: the Mongolian Fireball and the Thundering Wind Hammer.[1] Others, namely the five new ones, were less specifically mentioned by Po in his own vernacular.[2] The rest were never mentioned.
